After our 3rd visit in Galicia, we finally made it to Compostela and here are all our best tips and addresses to visit Santiago de Compostela in Spain

All our articles on Spain: country of sun and good food we share here all our good plans and Spanish favorites, whether "on the continents" or in the Canary Islands or Balearic Islands.
Spain is a country that we are particularly fond of and that we have discovered many times in recent years.
So that you can quickly see the Spanish destinations we've been to (and written about), you can use the map below to get your bearings:
Spain is such a vast and diverse country that it would be nearly impossible to summarize information such as "how to get there" or even "when is it best to travel" on one page. Rather than give you too much general information, we will instead take a closer look at the different destinations we have been to and stayed in for longer periods of time.
During the winter of 2020-2021 we spent 5 months in the beautiful region of Galicia in northwest Spain. See all our posts about Galicia here
During our stay in Galicia we were based at Anceu Coliving, a beautiful house near the town of Pontevedra. We were there with our van and we took the opportunity, on several occasions, to go on small road-trips. Whether on the Costa da Morte, the Ribeira Sacra, Vigo or the Rias Altas.
Galicia is a region that we particularly liked for its natural and wild side. The coasts are simply superb while the lands are rich of traditions.

Ahhh the beautiful Andalusia! Known for its sun, its tapas, its beautiful cities and the superb beaches and coves of the Costa del Sol... We decided to come and spend the winter 2021-2022 with our van. A little more than 2 months to travel through the different provinces.

Our first getaway to Tenerife was in October 2018 (and also in October 2019 so much we loved it). At the base we had planned to spend the winter between the different islands of the Canaries, but in the end our love for Tenerife will have been such, that we spent more than 4 months there! See our blog posts about Tenerife.
In fact, what we liked the most in Tenerife is the contrast between what we expected and what we saw... The cliché of the utra touristic island has a hard life, but believe us if you go away from the 3 main villages-resorts in the south, the island is a real treasure! We literally fell in love with the center and the north of the island! La Orotava, the Teide park and the Anaga... so many places that we simply can't get enough of!

Before returning to Tenerife in 2019, we spent a month on the neighboring island of Gran Canaria (we still wanted to discover another Canary Island). We took our quarters in the city of Las Palmas located at the north of the island and which was used to us as base to leave to explore in our free time. Read our blog posts about Gran Canaria
Our stay in Gran Canaria was done in "digital nomad" mode, meaning that we stayed in an apartment and had a subscription to a Coworking space in Las Palmas. We explored the island during our free time and we keep a particularly beautiful memory of our crossing of the island on foot following the Compostela path.

When we think of the Balearic Islands, the first names that come to mind are often Majorca or Ibiza, which are the two "main" islands from a tourist point of view. Nevertheless, the Balearic Islands have many other islands and islets. Only 2 other islands are also inhabited: Formentera and Menorca.
In total we decided to spend 6 weeks on the small island of Menorca in the Balearic Islands. An idyllic place to live and work for digital nomads. During our stay we rented an apartment in the pretty little town of Ciutadella. This small town was our base to, on the one hand, work remotely, but also to explore the island and its beaches.
During our stay we published a series of 4 articles with our favorite hikes, our favorite beaches but also our road trip ideas. We let you discover all this on the special page Minorca that we created:
